Physician Job Description
A physician or simply doctor is a person who helps people by studying and treating sickness or injury. Doctors often specialize, like one might say "I am a pediatrician" which means they treat small children. But there are many different types of doctors that can help you.

Nearly all medical practitioners are physicians or in varying degrees of training or specialization. Physicians may be specialized by the area of expertise, for example (although not exclusively) surgery, psychiatry, or radiology; by type of license to practice; by the organ system they have specialised in; or by whether they work with adults, children, and/or expectant mothers. In all countries they are subject to professional regulation, and must pass medical exams to be licensed for the work.
The term physician is used to refer either to a medical practitioner or to a doctor who holds the professional degree of Doctor in Medicine. In most countries, the title of Physician is legally protected by law; accordingly, it may only be used by physicians with an appropriate medical degree.
Physicians work in many areas of medicine and surgery, spending much of their time diagnosing and treating disease. Physicians may also undertake specialised training in particular fields such as cardiology or oncology. The work load for a physician's career is extremely variable depending on the number of patients he/she sees daily, the level of responsibility he/she handles at his/her place of work, and the level of research he/she is involved in.
In general, physicians are highly respected and trusted by members of society who seek their expertise in medical matters and to address health-related concerns. While there are many physicians who take a great deal of pride in serving the needs of their patients, there are also more than a few who abuse the trust placed in them and engage in fraud or misconduct.
