Wind turbine technicians install, inspect and maintain wind turbines. They are also responsible for troubleshooting system problems and identifying any failure metrics that might indicate a need for increasing the overall reliability of production levels.

These technicians must have experience in mechanical repair, electrical repair or welding. They should also be familiar with electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic motors. Wind turbine technicians may have other titles including tower technician or wind farm technician. Tower technicians inspect and maintain wind towers that make up a wind farm instead of separate turbines on isolated sites. Wind farm technicians often oversee the entire farm.
